Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project:

Location: 

The project is located in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The project envisages the diversion of Neelum waters at Nouseri, about 41 kms upstream of Domal and out falling in Jhelum river near Chattar Kalas, 22 kms downstream of Domal, 114 kms from Islamabad.

Annual Energy 5150 million KWh
Generation cost/KWh US 2.77 cent

Power Dispersal:

Connected to the mational grid through 500 KV transmission line

  • Feasibility study, Engineering design and technical tender documents completed.
  • Evaluation report for Pre-qualification of contractors on turnkey basis submitted to authority for approval.
  • PC-i approved by EGNEC on 28-02-2002

  • Implementation: 8 years
  • EIRR - 26%
